GIROSCOPI CULTURAL

On 8th, 9th and 10th November 2007, AD-PRODIEMUS will be taking part in the first GIROSCOPI CULTURAL, a fair for cultural initiatives in the province of Girona, organised by Girona provincial authority's Casa de Cultura Bisbe Lorenzana.

PRODIEMUS STAND. Times: Thursday 8th, from 12am to 10pm; Friday and Saturday from 10am to midnight.
PRESENTATION of the PRODIEMUS Virtual Songbook and the Songbook for Schools aimed at nursery and primary school pupils, as well as other new items on the website. The presentation is to be given by Dr. Pilar Lago (UNED) and Dr. Marta Orts Alís (PRODIEMUS management and administration), with the cooperation of Antoni Miquel Muñoz (webmaster of PRODIEMUS). Saturday 10th, from 6 to 8.30 in the evening, in the Aula Magna (first floor) of the Casa de Cultura, Girona.
CONCERT of versions of traditional pieces by different performers. Saturday 10th, from 7.30 to 8.30 in the evening, in the Aula Magna (first floor) of the Casa de Cultura, Girona (see programme).

Featuring: Laia Amagat (piano), Leticia Aparicio (cello), Agustí Coma Alabert (violin), Jordi Garcia (violin), Tomy Muñoz (saxophone), Edith Saldaña (cello), Antoni Tolmos (piano) and Ana Vladimirova (soprano).

Launch of Prodiemus

At 7.30pm on 24th March 2006, Prodiemus was formally presented in the function room of the UNED (Spanish open university) associate centre in Girona, before a large audience. The event was attended by various representatives of the public and private bodies that have given their support to the project: Mr. Enric Vilert (Vice-president of the Girona provincial authoritty), Mr. Gabriel Casas (President of the Gironàs area council), Mr. Josep Ballester (CEO of Finques Catalunya) and Mr. Josep Arnau (Director of the UNED associate centre in Girona and host of the event); also in attendance were the Rector of the University of Girona, Dr. Anna Maria Geli, and the regional delegate of the Catalan autonomous government's education department, Mr. Joaquim Bosch.
The PRODIEMUS project and website were presented by Dr. Marta Orts Alís and the webmaster of PRODIEMUS, Mr. Antoni Miquel Muñoz Cuatrecasas. In academic, musical and educational terms, the project received the backing of Dr. Pilar Lago (UNED), Dr. José M. Calés (UNED), Dr. Joaquim Miranda (UAB), Dr. Joan de la Creu Godoy (UdG) and Mr. Carles Guinovart (ESMUC).
